It’s another great week here at Beauty Mixtress™️. After National Cleanse Your Skin week, I’m excited to share more information on how we improve our skin naturally.
This week for Beauty Blends I want to discuss pears. Pears are one of my favorite fruits to eat. Little did I know the benefits I was receiving by consuming them.🤗
So let’s get into it!
Pears are a juicy fruit, delicious and with many benefits for health, skin as well as hair. Pears are an antioxidant-rich fruit which makes it powerful for boosting the immune system and creates a healthy and proper digestive system for our body.
Moisturizes the skin: Pears are a very good moisturizer. Pears are equally good for oily as well as dry skin. Pears are basically natural humectants; they store water naturally thereby retaining the natural moisture in the skin. If pears are consumed on regular basis your skin will appear smoother and with an even skin tone.
To prevent wrinkles: If you include pears in your regular diet then you can slow down the aging process. Pears are full of Vitamin C, which makes it a good antioxidant, apart from that it has copper and Vitamin K (Vitamin K helps prevent dark circles) as well. Pears help in toning the skin and thus preventing the formation of fine lines that turns into wrinkles later.
Treats acne, pimples and other skin infections: Pears are recommended for the treatment of acne due to the high amounts of vitamins and minerals in it. This fruit boosts the immunity system and enables the skin to fight against acne, pimples and other skin infections.
Regulates the skins pH balance: Here’s a DIY! You can use pears in the form of a face pack for oily skin. Add a teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of whipped cream to a mashed pear. Apply the mixture on the face and neck, and wash it off after 15 minutes. The minerals present in pears neutralize skin acids and help in regulating the pH balance of the skin.
These are just a few know skin benefits of pears. I recommend you search for other ways pears are beneficial to your to health as well then eat or drink up!😉
Also, there a several pears available to purchase. Check out this link HERE to learn about the different types of pears.
So what is a good blend for pears? Well I’m going to share my favorite all time recipe that I love to drink in the spring and summer. It’s so refreshing.
Pear and Ginger Juice. Let me tell you a little about ginger. Ginger has anti-aging benefits, clears acne and blemishes, treats hypopigmentation (white scars) and tones the skin. We’ll talk about this more in another beauty blend blog.😉
Here’s a simple yet refreshing recipe for you to try this week.
Pear and Ginger Juice
- 3 Bartlett Pears
- 1/4 inch of ginger
Cleanse pears thoroughly and place in juice (cut into pieces if applicable). Cut 1/4 inch piece of ginger and peel before adding to juice, then enjoy!
I hope you enjoyed today’s blog. Leave a comment below if you will try this juice or have other recipes you would like to share.

See you in the next blog!
@Georgina: Although I juice these items you can blend them as well. Just be mindful of the ginger. The size I recommend may be a bit much for blending vs juicing. Use half the size then taste. If not too much, add the other half.
👋🏿Hey. I never knew this about pears 🍐😳. Since ginger is staple food item in my house, I am going to try this recipe. Do I just throw these ingredients a blender? Do you I need a special machine?
