Day 2: 8-Day Skin Detox

Skin Detox

Luxurious Bath Boutique Skin Detox Blog - Day 2 Image

Hello Beauties,

Today is day of LBBs 8-day skin detox and I'm ready to go! Yesterday we discussed the benefits of using Ash with Tea Tree soap. I hope you found that blog helpful. If you have not had a chance to read it, check it out here.

Yesterday I analyzed my skin and noticed I had a pimple on the right arm near my shoulder. Disappointing to say the least as I'm tired of them but hey, I'm just going to stay focused to get rid of it and continue to work on evening out my skin tone. The only other thing I noticed was that my feet was dry. I expected that as I had given myself a pedicure last Sunday and knew a couple more will be needed to get my skin right. I exfoliated with Ash with Tea Tree using my exfoliating gloves as well as showered once afterwards using the shower puff as I did not want to overstrip my skin. Used my Whipped Shea Butter to moisturized and out the door I went, lol

Also, since I am "resetting" other things in my life, I've decided to clean out my bathroom. Goodness gracious what a task. I was terribly accumulating products but never cleaned out the ones I know I will never use again.🤷🏽‍♀️ In the process of cleaning out, I found over a pound of African Black Soap and Ambi cream to even skin tone. I am not the one to throw out some black soap so I used it and the Ambi cream on my face last night. My skin was so soft and glowing. Therefore I will include this in my skincare regimen until it's all gone.

Ok one day down, seven to go!

On to Day 2!

Today I want to discuss another soap that is great to detox your skin with and that's Ash with Pine Tar. Similar to Ash with Tea Tree, this soap boasts of the same ingredients except for it is odorless and has pine tar in it.

I won't go into the similar ingredients, you can read that info in yesterday's blog here. However, we will learn more about pine tar and how it is beneficial to your skin.

Ash with Pine Tar was mainly created for those that deal with skin disorders such as eczema, dry itchy skin, psoriasis and those that have sensitive skin. It's antifungal and antibacterial properties are great to adequately cleanse your skin.

Pine tar is an old remedy that has been used to help alleviate the symptoms of eczema, psoriasis, dandruff, and other forms of dermatitis. It is also used to relieve itching caused by bug bites and poison ivy, and its antiseptic properties make it safe to use during flare ups and on open wounds.

Pine tar’s antimicrobial properties help prevent and treat fungal infections such as athlete’s foot and jock itch. It's also good to neutralize smelly feet.

As you can see, pine tar is great to use on your skin. It can also be used as a body wash bar too, just like Ash with Tea Tree. Remember, just like any of the products I mention during skin detox, use a small amount of soap first. Too much can lead the skin to become dry even after applying moisturizing. Please check out yesterday's blog where I covered this under "note about skin detox" as a skin test is recommended.

My Plan
Today, I will bathing with the Ash with Tea Tree soap again (once with washcloth and once with shower puff). I will then examine my skin again for any issues (dry patches, acne etc. and make a note of it). I will focus on the acne on my arm as well. I will then apply LBBs whipped shea butter all over to keep my skin moisturized as my daughter and I are heading off to the mall today.
I will circle back tomorrow and let you know my results from today as well as discuss another soap that will benefit you going forward with your skin detox.
If you have used Ash with Pine Tar or should have any questions, please leave a comment below.
Have an amazing day!
