DETOX and RESETđđž - Day 1
With 2020 coming to a close, I thought about my skincare journey this year and to be honest, it was not the best. I had good moments and not so good moments. Due to mask wearing and just being in the house majority of this year and increased salesđđž, it was an on and off again priority.Â
Has it been the same for you? If you answered yes, join me on this 8 day detox.
Now I'm thinking about my routine even more because when I'm consistent, my skin feels and looks its best, it truly does and I want to sure that I am feeling my best every day, inside and out, so today I am beginning my skin detox. I'll be sharing LBBs soaps and body washes you can use for your detox. If you're like me, your first thought is will my skin dry out especially in this cold dry air? The truth is, there's a possibility if not done correctly.
In order for this regimen to work, I will need to be observant of my skin. I don't mean just how I feel once I bathe, I'm talking about checking my skin throughout the day. How is it feeling and looking when I'm in all day as well as if I had to go about for long periods at a time. Do I have dry spots, acne, etc. This is a real skin detox! This includes your feet as well.
Each day I will share in great detail a product in the shop that can help you along your skin detox journey as well as what I am doing for my skin each day. I will share how my skin feels and looks and what I feel my next steps are. You can either join me now or wait until the 8 days are up (January 3) to start. It's totally up to you. I just want my skin to start January 4 on a good note because there other products/regimens I will be creating for us in 2021.
Today I will discuss Ash with Tea Tree which is also known as a body wash bar as it can be used with a shower puff. To most of my customers this is the best bar ever! Why? Because it has improved so much for my customers from the way their skin feels, relieving acne, stops itching and makes their skin very clean. So let's talk about 4 components of this bar that makes it so great.
Ash with Tea Tree was created for the face and body but many use it for body only. It's called ash because we use activated charcoal to create this soap. Charcoal is great for your skin because toxins stick to the activated charcoal, it makes a good deep cleanser and detoxifier. With that said, any toxins on the surface or skin or just below will attach itself to the charcoal and rinse awayđđž
This wonderful bar also include Neem oil. Neem oil is
 rich in fatty acids, which
help support healthy skin. The leaf of the plant also provides health benefits because it contains plant compounds called flavonoids and polyphenols, which have
antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. Neem oil provides soothes skin irritations and kills bacteria. So if you have a cut, bruise etc. neem oil will penetrate the skin allowing it to heal naturally.
NOTE: an allergic reaction can occur from using neem oil. If you are not sure if you are allergic or want to use it on your face, please conduct a patch test by cleansing a small part your skin below the ear and behind your arm and wait 24 hours. If allergic reaction occurs (redness, bumps, rash, etc.) discontinue use immediately.
Aloe Vera JuiceÂ
is best known for treating skin injuries. Just like neem oil, aloe vera has antioxidant and antibacterial properties which accelerates wound healing.
Â
Tea Tree essential oil skin benefits are just endless if you ask me. It has antibacterial, anti-fungal, cicatrisant (ability to promote skin healing), anti-viral, anti-septic properties. These properties assist with soothing dry, itchy skin. Combats oily skin. Accelerates wound healing and reduces inflammation. So when you think of all types of issues that can occur on the skin (dry skin, itchy skin, scrapes, acne, eczema, psoriasis, contact dermatitis) you can see how Tea Tree would be beneficial!
Ok, there you have it, the breakdown of the wonderful components of Luxurious Bath Boutique's Ash with Tea Tree soap. If you are in need of this soap for your skin detox journey, you can purchase it here.Â
A note about a skin detox: When using any of the soaps/body washes I will be discussing for the detox, to ensure overdrying does not occur, do not overindulge in this soap. You do not need a lot. Start off with a small amount on your skin until you are satisfied you are clean. After towel drying, ensure you applying any of LBBs moisturizers to your skin immediately. Apply a small amount at a time and rub into your skin completely. Do not stop rubbing until it is completely absorbed.đ
If you should have any questions, comments or have used Ash with Tea Tree soap, please leave them below.
My Plan
Today, I will be exfoliating and cleansing my skin with the Ash with Tea Tree soap. I will then examine my skin for dry patches, acne etc. and make a note of it. I will then apply LBBs whipped shea butter all over to keep my skin moisturized. I may go out for a little today that is why I am choosing the shea butter.
I will circle back tomorrow and let you know my results from today as well as discuss another soap that will benefit you going forward with your skin detox.
Have an amazing day!
