Today has truly been a busy day! Thinking about all that I have on my plate for you all and LBB. It's all excitement over here but it can wear you out. My mind started to get anxious and I knew if I did not slow down I would crash at some point.
So as I sat in my family room, I remember the one thing I love to do when I get a little anxious, burn my smudge stick! For those of you that don't know, a smudge stick are dried sage leaves wrapped together with a cotton string.
Sage is an herb, its antimicrobial, boosts memory and mental clarity, and can improve air quality, according to science.
I burned my sage stick for about 5 minutes as I just wanted my family room and office to be filled with its aroma. I usually would walk around my entire house with the stick. My home will be totally "smoked out" lol, but I love it. I couldn't do it this time as my family was home and knew it would result in many questions or complaints. So I kept it low key and it worked wonderfully.
After burning the sage, I felt so relaxed that I took a break and just laid on the couch for about an hour. I had so much clarity and energy that I was able to get up and finish multiple tasks before the end of the day.
If you haven't tried it before, give it a try but consult with your physician to ensure this is something you can use.
