Hi Beauties,
Day 4! I'm coming along. How are all of you doing? I definitely have noticed some changes in my skin after using the Lemongrass Clarifying Soap. Mainly that it is clean! I love the feeling but what else I noticed is that the whipped shea butter is not what my body is needing. My skin has been stripped of oils and now moisture needs to be applied. For those of you that don't know, oils and butters are great as a moisture sealant because the molecules in these ingredients are much larger than water therefore they can only penetrate the skin so much. So now that I have cleansed very well this week, it's time to use LBBs Decadent Body Fluff. It is our water-based moisturizer that includes cocoa butter and almond oil. Because water-is the main ingredient (and hydrating), it penetrates the skin far more than any oil butter can. Think of water being a key. The only way you can open the door and enter is if you have a key. Water allows the butters and oils in this lotion to penetrate deeper into your skin.
This is all I will be adding to my skin for the remainder of the week. If I decide to go out, I will add LBBs Whipped Shea Butter or Apricot & Shea body oil to my skin to keep the moisture locked in. The cold, dry weather is not our friend.
Oh, I almost forgot. The acne located on my right arm near my shoulder is still there but just about gone. I honestly think it's just dry skin but since I am not going to exfoliate today, it will just have to wait.
Ok, let's talk about the next product that you can use to detox your skin.
Day 4!
Peppermint Tea & Honey Clarifying Body Wash is a great addition to your skin detox routine. The main ingredient in this body wash is peppermint essential oil. This essential oil has many wonderful properties that makes it a great addition to any skincare routine. It's loaded with vitamins A and C, potassium, omega-3 fatty acids, iron, magnesium, calcium, manganese and copper. Because it contains menthol, peppermint has anesthetic properties. It also comes with antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and carminative properties.
So what are some benefits of this essential oil? It brightens skin and controls excess oil. It also promotes better circulation when it stimulates the skin giving it the youthful glow. You can also receive relief from the discomforts caused by skin irritations with peppermint oil. Burns, skin rashes and dry skin can be relieved with the cooling and soothing effects of peppermint.
