DIY Pedicure Feet Foot Care Foot Spa Pedi Pedicure

Hi Beauties,

Thank you for the great responses on the last blog about how to get silky skin. I’m glad you enjoyed it. As a reminder, the Autumn Release is next Thursday, October 1. I hope you have been sticking close to social media as I have been posting the soaps that will be released. Stay tuned for more….

This week I thought it would be great to talk about pedicures. Some have asked for a simple guide on how to do an at-home pedicure. I’m happy to oblige as I know many are still uncomfortable going out to salons. Besides, it's the weekend and what better time to share this.🙂

Here are the basics of a DIY pedicure that you can use with our LBB Pedicure Set.

Foot Soak

To begin your pedicure experience, first wipe down feet and ankles with a warm damp cloth to remove any debris. Using a foot spa or basin, add warm water then add 2 tsp to 1 TBSP of LBBs Foot Soak. Allow feet to soak for 10-15 minutes (I prefer 20-30 minutes). This will allow your feet to be gently cleansed and dead skin to soften.

Clip Toenails/Push Back Cuticle

Remove feet from water, lightly dry then clip toenails to the length you want. Do not clip the sides, you will use a buffer or emory file to round them. Push back your cuticles with a cuticle pusher or with your nails. (please note, some may prefer to buff off cuticles prior to soaking feet, this can be done as well if preferred). Use an oil on your cuticle/hangnails, etc. (use the Pedi Set Soot oil, Apricot & Shea Oil or Re Complete Body Oil). Place foot back in spa for 3 to 5 minutes.

Remove Hangnail/ Buffing:

If hangnails are present, they will be soft at this time. Remove hangnail with a cuticle nipper or small scissors. With a buffer, buff toenails in side to side and up and down motions until smooth. If sides of nails are still sharp/too straight, use buffer or emory file to round/smooth out.

Place feet back in water for 3 minutes.

Foot Polish

Remove feet from water and lightly dry skin by patting with a cotton towel. Do not completely dry, leave skin damp. Apply LBBs Foot Polishfoot file or pumice stone and begin to scrub feet. Scrub feet with side to side and up and down motions to remove as much dead skin as possible. Pay close attention to hard patches (calluses) and heels. Do not scrub too hard as you do not want to remove healthy skin and cause bruising. Repeat the same process for the other foot.

Foot Oil

To complete your pedicure experience, remove both feet from water and pat feet completely dry. Apply LBBs Foot Oil. Make sure to use a little at a time (especially if wearing sandals). A little goes a long way. Re-apply the foot oil as needed. Please note the foot oil contains butter therefore it may appear cloudy. You can sit oil in a cup/bowl of warm water to melt back into oil form. Wear socks when feet do not need to be exposed to preserve moisture and softness.

I hope you found these pedicure instructions to be helpful. If you should have any questions about pedicures or need assistance with any foot concerns you may be having, feel free to leave a comment below.

Until next time,
